Heart of the Big City: Streets that throbbed with life and had rhythm in their energy. In the midst of it all were two souls who collided into each other. There was Lila-the honest musician and then there was Max-some kind of lone writer. One day of fate will do it and entwine the lives of these people.

Lila was afire on the violin, interpreting and re-creating every note of what had been written. Between her teaching at the local school by day and evening performances in the local clubs, she may have loathed the lack of meaning itself but knew the hollowness was only nibbling at her. The ovation came and went-and the fulfillment she yearned for was not there.

While Max fed on loneliness. A writer who had retired into himself, it was in the pages of his books that he sought solace and went to sit there. What he wrote, however, was of concern to him that he would never find an audience. Day turned to night, night to day, those days, only the constant pounding of the sound from his typewriter and the silence around his apartment.

One rainy evening, Lila played her music in some warm, cozy café. Wet rain poured outside as she weaved her music through the air. Max caught under the rain to protect himself, walked in just in time to hear her play that haunting melody-that sounded like a reflection of loneliness he often felt.

And just when the last, final note has melted into the air, Lila had seen him, sitting alone in the corner, his eyes spitting sparks her way, in appreciation. Somewhere later she…
