Dell Inc is known for innovation, quality and customer-centric solutions today being one of the largest companies in the world offering leading technology. This does not fail to be inspiring towards the entrepreneurship, adaptability and the power of strategies going direct-to-consumers from a dorm-room start up to a multi-billion dollar corporation.

Humbleness at its Peak

Michael Dell founded this company when he was only 19 years old. Michael Dell graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1984. With this, he managed to raise an investment of as low as $1,000 through which he started selling these custom-built computers directly from his university dorm room. He thought that if he could eliminate the middlemen and deliver just what people want, then he could offer them high-quality computers at prices people could afford.

This direct-to-consumer model went viral in a pretty short period. Dell broke the old retail model that used high-middleman distribution and delivered pre-assembled products through its customer feed and customizing approach. It was unique in all respects in cost-cutting measures and in creating loyalty among customers.
