Hazrat Ali: A Thorough Delve into His Life and Legacy
Introduction
Hazrat Ali ibn Abi Talib is such an iconic figure of Islam and history alike as well: cousin and son-in-law of Prophet Muhammad himself, and the contribution he made for his religion goes deep; is all-rounded. Whilst among the Sunni people Hazrat Ali is considered counted to be their fourth caliphate, and within Shia, he is taken up for consideration as the first imamate of the two. This paper shall discuss his early life, the role that Ali played in the life of the Prophet and was a leader as the Caliph as well as continued to become a hallmark into eternity of justice and scholarship.
Early Life
Ali was born in Mecca, part of the prestigious house of Banu Hashim, which belonged to the Quraysh tribe. His father was also the head of this line and, when Muhammad’s revelatory calling had only just begun, did act to safeguard Muhammad. Ali was taken as a baby to be raised up in the Prophet’s family and powerfully shaped both the rearing and opinions of that young man. He was, at ten, one of the first converts into Islam as a result. His teenage loyalty for his new religion showed boldness and loyalty, the two great qualities that later characterize his life.
